Summary
This is a 'Come and Try It' event designed to introduce newcomers to Amateur Radio Direction Finding. Two sessions starting at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM each lasting 2 hours
This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who has never tried radio orienteering before! Enjoy the great outdoors while learning the basics of this exciting activity. A coaching session will be available before and during each session, making it ideal for newcomers.

Format of Event
Open to individuals or pairs, with a maximum of ten teams per event. Ten sets of loan equipment, including a receiver and compass are available for each session, so booking a place is essential to avoid disappointment on the day. Cost: £3.00

Amenities
Eastham Country Park spans 100 acres and features established pathways, a car park, toilets and a café for refreshments. Additionally, there is a pub and a restaurant nearby for those looking to relax after the event.
Safety
Competitors are responsible for their own safety and take part at their own risk. No smoking in the forest. Whistles should be carried (the emergency signal is 6 blasts repeated at 1 minute intervals).
