Summary
An 80m ARDF event at Panshanger Park between Welwyn Garden City and Hertford on Saturday 6 December 2025 in conjunction with a Hertfordshire Orienteering Club (HH) event.

Terrain
Panshanger Park is 1000 acres of woodland and open parkland astride the chalk-stream of the Mimram Valley.

Parking
Parking will be in a new car park accessed from Panshanger Lane, SG14 2TS at TL277126 (£2.50 for 4 hours; £4.00 for longer).

From A1(M) junction 4 take the A414 eastbound towards Hertford. After a roundabout with the B195, Panshanger Lane is the next left about 300m further on. The entrance is on the right about 1km after turning onto Panshanger Lane.

Public Transport
Approximately 3km from Hertford East and 5km from Welwyn Garden City stations. See the HH website for more details including closer buses.

Registration, Start and Finish
Registration, start and finish will at the Eastern end of the parking area (furthest from the entrance) near a new car park under construction.

3.5 MHz Classic - 5 controls, 120 minutes time limit

3.5 MHz Beginners - 2 controls

Note that for later starts the full two hours may not be available.

Fees
£4.00 (TBC) per person.
No charge to do the beginners course after an orienteering course.

There will be a letter to write down at each control.

Public toilets and refreshment van in the car park.
